(whole)istic health with

My wellness journey
I’m a Georgia family medical physician, speaker, and author who educates about (whole)istic health of the mind, body, and spirit. A physician since 2008, I’ve treated more than 10,000 patients throughout my career in the Peach State. I truly take preventive health care to heart, specifically helping community members take precautionary measures to intercept high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes. And because I love the outdoors, I often share strategies that incorporate nature as a viable prescription to better health.
The answer you’re not expecting:
My primary health insurance is my family. I come from educators, and a lot of my beginning knowledge about preventive medicine actually started in rural Mississippi on my grandparents’ land. They paved (and literally paid) the way for me to pay my medical expertise forward to you today. From my Southern farming and gardening roots to living and learning in the West Coast at one point, I have to say that faith, family, and heritage followed me and continues to drive my fervor to help you experience a healthier life as well.
Your next check in:
Did you know that researchers recommend 120 minutes a week outside because it helps you feel better? Yes, it works. The outdoors is your newest best health friend. So before we meet again online or at a community event, do a little homework for me. Explore new, simple ways to connect with nature. Consider me as your health and wellness resource and subject matter expert. I’ve built a reputation for genuinely talking about everyday health concerns with my patients. Honest industry insights, years of personal experience, and plenty of fresh air are what I lean into to guide families so they can easily restructure their lives accordingly to achieve healthier lifestyles.

No, not a doctor’s visit but more space for us to talk in-depth about preventive medicine together. As a public speaker and author, I travel the nation for conferences, community gatherings, and educational panel discussions to share what works (and what doesn’t) to obtain ownership of your life in the healthiest way possible. Providing you with an attainable “chart” that will help you pre-empt life-threatening illnesses.
